BREIF
ORGANISATIONAL
TIMELINE
THE EARLY YEARS (1999-2004)

Brainware, initially known as International Seas Enterprises (ISE), has always been dedicated to the supply of IT and Hi-tech gear. Our history boasts richness in experience as we have offered various products through different business cycles. In the early 2000's, our core competence was the supply of bullet proof vests, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) devices, and handheld metal detectors such as Garrets. However, the organisational ethos of consistent innovation ensured that Brainware took on new challenges, one of which was the manufacturing of the trademark mantrap doors.

In 2004, Brainware manufactured and supplied its first mantrap cubicle. This was the beginning of great things to come. Although patronage was initially low, the efficiency of the product became illuminated as it was deemed successful in combating several armed robbery attempts including the famous stand off of 2004, in which our mantrap door successfully halted a robbery operation for close to a full hour.

THE MANTRAP REVOLUTION (2004 -2019)

Soon after, came the order from one of Nigeria's major financial institutions to complete a nationwide survey and installation of close to 700 units of mantrap doors. The completion of the project was seen as a major success in the Nigerian IT security industry as it was the first of its kind to ever be attempted and successfully deployed at that level. Brainware was then awarded the Certificate of Achievement for sales generated in people screening systems in 2007 by Rapiscan West Africa. Between 2005 and 2015, Brainware completed the installation of over 1000 units of bullet resistant mantrap doors all across the region of West-Africa. Furthermore, Brainware currently manages and maintains over 600 units in facilities that span across the entire breadth of the country. As such, we are the largest producers and maintenance managers of bullet resistant mantrap doors across the entire region of West Africa.

THE FUTURE - BRAINWARE INNOVATION (BRIN) & SCRIPT
The IT security sector has been the major focus of Brainware's products and services. However, Brainware's twentieth anniversary (2019) saw the birth of Brainware Innovation (BRIN), a research centre geared towards other IT solutions for corporate and government organisations. BRIN is a hub that has been prepared for the next generation of Brainware's technicians and software developers. BRIN's mission is to provide general IT solutions for corporate organisations in Nigeria. These IT solutions will branch into other sectors such as IT software, micro-finance and fin-tech, agriculture, education, fashion, entertainment, and travel. As such, BRIN will hope to extend IT services to other industries currently in need of IT solutions, as Nigeria is still an emerging market region.
Brainware Script, a web development, branding and cyber security agency, is one of the products of BRIN. The Stratosphere Group (a conglomerate of IT based travel agencies and travel management corporations) is another fruit of the BRIN hub. Thus, BRIN is an IT engine established towards branching out products and services into other IT based industries. As such, we seek to establish new alliances and strategic partners towards aching this goal.
